Description

The GlenDronach 15-Year-Old Revival is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, matured exclusively in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. Known as a “sherry bomb,” this whisky delivers a rich and bold profile, with deep, complex layers of dried fruit, dark chocolate, and warm spices. Reintroduced in 2018 after a brief discontinuation, the Revival maintains its robust character while incorporating slightly new nuances. At 46% ABV, it is unchill-filtered, allowing for a fuller body and mouthfeel. The whisky is a well-balanced yet powerful expression, showcasing GlenDronach’s traditional sherry maturation.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: An inviting bouquet of rich fruitcake, rum-soaked raisins, baked apples with cinnamon, and a touch of brown sugar.
• Palate: Intense flavors of dried fruit like prunes and dates, layered with nutmeg, cinnamon, and hints of black licorice. Subtle dark chocolate and a savory undercurrent add complexity.
