This Murray McDavid bottling of Girvan defies the logic of grain whisky, where the common belief was that Single Grain required 25+ years in a ex bourbon barrel to be enjoyable.
This 16 year old offering takes a younger grain spirit and uses innovative Cask Maturation in Sherry, madeira and bourbon casks to create layered flavour, giving you a smooth, buttery sweet dram. Chocolate, banana, and Demerara sugar caramel are front and centre on this one and the finish is long and moreish.
